Why I Am a Christian
If we take an honest look at Jesus, we will discover that He offers the purpose, identity and freedom we've been looking for.

John Stott is an exceptional writer and communicator of the Christian faith. He has been highly regarded as a theologian and noteworthy contributor to the Christian Church for more years than we dare to count. His influence now spans two centuries, and it seems he's in no hurry to retire, even though at the publishing of the book Why I Am a Christian, he was already more than seventy five years in age.

Why I Am a Christian

In this book, Stott takes a clear aim at accomplishing one thing only, and that is to explain with great precision why he is a Christian, and why anyone who is intrigued/interested in this person called Jesus Christ, should consider the evidence about Him and the offer He makes to all humanity.

There is no doubt that this book is evangelistic in scope, nature and direction. Stott makes no apologies, and offers no room for doubt concerning what, why, and whom he is writing about. This is a book about Jesus Christ, written from the life experience of a seasoned British preacher, evangelist, educator, pastor of note. I would even go so far as to suggest that this short (133 page), compact, detailed little book, is like a memoirs. Stott, in his own words declares, "If we take an honest look at Jesus, we will discover that following Him gives us the purpose, identity and freedom we've been searching for—and far more than we had ever imagined." That's why John Stott is a Christian.
