Historic Revival Conferences for Atlanta, Georgia and Greenock, Scotland!
A desire to petition God for desperately-needed revival on Earth is inspiring a young Canadian to organize Revival Conferences in various parts of the world.

Will God send another great awakening? Can revival still change nations? These are the questions that Greg Gordon, the 29-year-old newest member of the Canadian Revival Fellowship group in Regina, Canada asks. Greg is the founder and moderator of SermonIndex, a website dedicated to the preservation and propagation of vintage audio preaching from the former generations, and has offered over ten million sermon downloads since its inception in December 2002. Since the beginning of this vision there has been a genuine burden to see the sovereign act of authentic revival occur in the Church of Jesus Christ today. It is from this burden that the conviction for a Revival Conference was implanted into this young man's heart.

Last year in October the first revival conference was organized in Canton, Ohio where more than 1000 attendees from more than five different countries came to hear 12 seasoned conference speakers share their heart burden to see a genuine biblical revival in our generation. With more than 1000 tuning into the live video webcast nightly, God worked in many lives to place a heaven-sent burden for another historical genuine revival.

This year God has laid on this young man's heart to organize two conferences – one in Atlanta, Georgia and one in Greenock, Scotland. When asked why he chose these locations Greg answered: "I did not choose these locations, for instance in Scotland there was a building hunger in a core group of denominations in the Greenock area to see a genuine biblical revival. I was contacted and I laid it out before the Lord. After weeks of prayer God began to confirm that we were to have a conference there. The venue in Greenock has been given freely! And all the speakers are coming for free! This event is bigger then any speaker, we are coming to meet with and petition God for a Spiritual Awakening." Gareth Evans and Don Courville have been mentors to Greg and will be moderating the events.

The following is an excerpt from the Revival Conference website:

There are over 10,000 conferences that happen every year. The Revival Conference is not to be just another conference but an honest, sincere, earnest plea for the desperate need of revival. The conference will have the chief object to be God-glorifying. There is no cost to attend the event. No materials will be sold. There will be no big bands. The speakers will come on their own accord trusting God for provision. There will be no emphasis on money during the event. The event will be a simple, apostolic, yearning for a genuine biblical revival in our day. The conference is hosted by the ministry of SermonIndex and is an inter-denominational event.

And not only is the burden of this conference striking, but how the conference itself has come into being is equally remarkable. With very little resources, promotion or marketing, more than 1000 registered last year for the Revival Confernece and to date more than 500 have already registered for both the Atlanta and Greenock events!  All are welcome to attend. What is surprising is the extreme interest of pastors this year, there are already 100's of pastors and ministry leaders registered to attend.

Greg Gordon described the initial vision of the conference:  "Originally we determined that if this event was indeed from God, then the building would have to be provided freely, the speakers would have to come freely, and there would be no cost to attend the event. All three of these things conditions have become an actuality. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt God's hand is in this. We are not coming to a conference to hear about God. We are coming to meet the living God. My prayer is that by God's grace, lives will never be the same.”

The conference is offering free video web-casting to churches and individuals as well as free on-demand downloads of all sessions. “Anyone can participate in this unique, God centered, important event,” says Greg. Pre-registeration for the event and more information is available at the Revival Conference website, or from Greg Gordon’s website SermonIndex.
