Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Development leads a team of motivated and talented individuals to realize the funding targets set by the Board of Directors. The Director of Development interfaces regularly with the other Department heads in order to enhance a coordinated effort in achieving the objectives of the organization and develops and manages the budget for the department.
The successful candidate will:
Have demonstrable experience in effective leadership and management
Be motivated by clear financial targets
Have a background in international ministry
Have a plan for engaging new sectors of donors/regions
Have demonstrated ability in leading the growth of an organization in the fundraising or sales sector Possess effective inter-personal and team building skills
Be able to travel within Canada and on at least one international trip a year
Have grant-writing and excellent written/word processing communication skills
Have a minimum of 5 years experience in fundraising, marketing or sales
Be able to work from a Brampton, Ontario office base

Providing direction and structure for developing a student culture consistent with the University’s mission, the Dean of Students will focus on developing a vibrant academic community through co-curricular activities and student leadership development programs. Other responsibilities include the supervision and development of student life staff, student counselling services, student retention, the development and implementation of student life policies, and the supervision of residence life programs and commuter student services.
Education and Work Experience: Master’s degree (an MA/M.Ed. in Student Development/ Affairs preferred) and a minimum of five years of work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
